Flowers for the Groom & Guests
The groom's buttonhole harks back to the times when knights would wear their ladies' colours - hence the tradition of choosing a signature flower from the bride's bouquet. Like the other important male members of the wedding party, who usually wear carnation or rose buttonholes, the groom wears his buttonhole on the left lapel of his jacket.
For the ladies: corsages. These are, in essence, just larger and more feminine buttonholes, and also tend to echo the floral elements of the bridal bouquet, but you can mix and match as you desire.
